Hello Everyone and Happy Spring!
I've posted some new pictures from February to April including our new family photos and the kids visiting the Easter Bunny. They did great for both!
Ella and Blake are growing quickly and changing every single day. They are both crawling around like crazy and getting anywhere and everywhere they want to go. They can also both pull themselves up to standing and walk along the furniture. Last night Ella climbed our entire flight of stairs from the basement to the kitchen. We predict they'll both be walking within a month or two. It's so crazy to look at the pictures from almost 10 months ago and see how small they were. No signs left of any premie babies here!
We're excited that the weather is finally starting to get better so we can enjoy some time outside. Blake and Ella both love to be outside! We can't wait to get up north this summer and start having some fun!!!

New Pictures!
Check out our new pictures from the month of December! We added all our great Christmas photos. January pics will be posted soon along with some videos from our new video camera (as soon as I figure out how to do it, that it).
All is well--both babies are weighing in at over 18 lbs (maybe more--we'll let you know in another month or so what the doc says) and 29" tall! Our biggest accomplishments at the moment are sitting (we can do it most of the time) and Ella is really trying to crawl, but she hasn't quite figured out how to "go" yet. It's pretty fun to watch. Blake is still perfectly content to roll around on the floor. Take care and have a good end of the month!!!

Almost 7 Months Old...
Again, sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I'll try and get our holiday and recent pics up this week.
We hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Blake and Ella really enjoyed their first Christmas although I have to say they enjoyed the wrapping paper more than any of the gifts! They're really starting to enjoy playing with their toys and especially with each other. Today, for example, Blake was trying to pull off Ella's sock and she was trying to suck on his fingers instead of her own. :-)
They're growing like weeds! Over 17 lbs and 27 inches tall/long. They're both sitting almost unassisted (they topple over when they try and get a toy that's a little out of reach) and they both enjoy standing while holding on to our fingers. Ella dances every time she's on her feet--it's hilarious. Blake is practicing for his career in the NBA in his Johnny-Jump-Up. He goes nuts in that thing!!! He's even bounced to the point of exhaustion-literally he's fallen asleep mid-jump. It's pretty cute.
We can't believe how much they've "grown-up" already, but we're loving it! The older they get the more fun they get. Ella is definitely daddy's girl right now and Blake is his mamma's boy all the way. They both very much enjoy their real food. Today they had real mac-n-cheese (all cut up of course) and they devoured it! They also really love bananas. It's a mess, but fun to watch. Ella sleeps through the night still. She's our good sleeper. She usually hits the sack between 7:30 and 8:00 and sleeps until between 6:00 and 8:00. Blake on the other hand isn't quite there. It's getting better. He was doing really well for a while only getting up once then we took a couple steps back and he started getting up two, three, even four times a night. The past week (knock on wood) has gotten better again with him only getting up once (rarely twice). Hopefully whatever was keeping him up has past and we are back on schedule.
Right now their life involves sleeping, eating, and LOTS and LOTS of playing! Like I said, the older they get, the more fun mom and dad have with them. It's even somewhat manageable to take them out to dinner! (Although that's far and few in between!!) Mom and Dad are both doing good (tired of course, but good). We usually hit the sack shorty after the kiddos. (Yup we're old and we freely admit it-at least I do!) I just finished my job at Bentley High School (it was only through the first semester), but I've been lucky enough to be hired in Mt. Morris! Yay!!! I'll be working with 5th and 6th grade students who are struggling in reading and I'm very excited about it. 5th and 6th grade are my grades of choice to teach so this is the perfect place for me. Hopefully with a little luck (as in someone or a couple someones retire) this will open up a door for a teaching position in the future. Right now I'm extremely grateful to have a job in a school and will be very happy there. I'm just happy to be working with kids! Brian is great too! He's a great daddy and I know there's no way I could do it without him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Turkey Day!
We hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. All is well with our two little turkeys! They enjoyed their first Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday and LOVED it. Both Ella and Blake joined us at the table for turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy.
They are growing like weeds! We can hardly believe just a few short months ago they were barely five lbs and now they're close to 16 or 17 lbs. We'll go to the doctor shortly before Christmas for their six month chec-up, but as far as we can tell they are growin' strong!
There are new pics posted here from November and also from our first trip to see Santa. Santa was a major hit! Neither one of them cried or even gave the slightest hint of not liking the big guy in red. We hope to get some "official" Christmas pics soon and I'll post them as well.

We'll Miss You, Judy
We just wanted to take a minute to say good-bye to our dear family friend Judy. She loved our babies and we were so glad she got to meet them and hold them before passing away earlier today. We love you, Judy and will miss you so much.
We've Been Busy!
First of all, I'm so sorry for the lack of posts. I went back to work full time and since then have had very little time to "play" on the computer. :o)
Ella and Blake are both doing wonderfully. As you can see from the new pictures, they are growing like weeds. Ella was weighed yesterday is now a whopping 14 lbs 13 oz. They didn't weigh Blake, but we suspect he's just about the same. He's definitely caught up to his sister. 3-6 month clothes just fit, but everything we're buying now is 6-9 months and they fit, too! Both Blake and Ella are eating food now and loving it (as you'll see in a few pics). We usually have a veggie and a fruit mid to late afternoon with some juice, and then some oatmeal at bedtime. The best part is both little ones SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT! They both go down around 8:00 every night, then Blake sleeps until 5ish and goes back down until 8ish and Ella sleeps right on through until 7:00 or 8:00 every morning. It's heavenly for Mom and Dad!
I started working about a month ago for Bentley High School as the librarian and I love it. I didn't intend on going back to work quite so full time, but the opportunity came along so I took it. I'm not sure how long I'll be there (the previous lady quit and they're still determining whether they'll fill it permanently or not because of budget issues), but until they decide what they're doing I'll be there. I hope it lasts until the end of the year because I'm really enjoying it a lot. I'm still coaching and loving it as always!
Brian is keeping busy with work and of course it's now hunting season so he take every opportunity he gets to go hunt. Unfortunately it's not quite as often as before, but he's still managing to get a fair amount of time in. He's already looking forward to the day he can take Blake with him. (Mom says Ella can't go!)
Drake is also doing well. He's getting a little annoyed with having to be quiet when the babies are asleep, but he too is looking forward to them growing up and being able to play!
I think that's all the updating I can think of for now. As you can see in the pictures, they're growing fast and getting more fun every single day.

Labor Day Weekend
We took our first swim! Well, kind of. Ella and Blake both tried out the water at Teema and Papa's cabin this past weekend. Ella wasn't so sure at first, but then seemed to enjoy it. Blake on the other hand wanted nothing to do with it and was perfectly happy to remain on the boat. Those gorgeous sunglasses you see in the pictures-they came from two of their favorite cousins in the whole wide world-Ben and Maggie. The swimsuits were from Teema. They got to go on their first real cruise of the lake and were very content while Daddy drove us around. I have a feeling this was the first of MANY MANY summers at the lake. Brian and I are so excited to next summer to be here so we can really enjoy playing in the water with the kids.
Wednesday was our first round of shots and needless to say they did NOT like them. They both weighed in at a whopping 12 lbs and Ella is 25 1/2 inches and Blake is 24 inches. They healthy and growing up to be big and strong.
