5 Week Update!

Hello all! There are finally some new pictures up. This being a mom thing keeps you pretty busy!!!

Ella and Blake are doing wonderfully. At their one month check up, I'm happy to report that both babies are good and healthy. Ella now weighs 8 lbs 3.5 oz and is 21 1/4" long. Blake has caught up very well weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz and is 20 3/4" long. Newborn clothing fits very well now and even a couple 0-3 month outfits are working out. They're still eating about every three hours (yes, even at night), but they've increased to three to four ounces at every feeding. We're hoping that we start to get some longer stretches at night REAL SOON as mom and dad are walking zombies somtimes right now. :o)

In the past couple of weeks the twins have met lots of new family member including some out-of-towners like Aunt Lil from Arizona and baby cousin Madeleine from D.C. They also took their first trip to Frankenmuth (a favorite place for the vonDaggenhausen side of the family).

Teema and Papa were brave and kept the twins overnight so Mommy and Daddy could get a full night's worth of sleep. They had fun, but I think Teema and Papa were a little sleepy the next day! ;o) Grammy and GG have also had them over lots and lots and they love spending time with all their grandparents. We are so lucky to have such great families to love our little ones.

I'll try to be better at posting more often. (I got in trouble by a few people yesterday at Madeleine's open house :o) Look for some more new pictures at five weeks old in the next few days.
