Where Does the Time Go?

Hi Everyone!

I know it's been a while since I posted and put new pics on, but I'm finally getting to it. Did you realize your life becomes so much busier when you add two infants to the mix? Who'd have guessed? :o)

There are two new sets of pictures-one is all of the pictures from the month of August and the second is a few pictures from their baptism today.

The baptism went great and neither Ella nor Blake cried at all. Father Tom, however, was sure to point out Blake's double chin! You'd never know by looking at this boy that he only weighed under five pounds just two short months ago. We celebrated their baptism with a small brunch afterwords back at our house. Aunt Barb did some of the most delicious breakfast casseroles I've ever had! Thanks Aunt Barb-you rock! Also thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate and for the wonderful gifts. Ella got her first cross necklace from her Godfather, Ryan and Blake got his first Bible from his Godmother, Brynn. Godfather Bobby got them both beautiful picture frames (now Mom just has to develop some photos for them). Unci Ralphie did a fantastic job standing in for Ella's Godmother Sara who is in Montana with her husband who is in the military. We missed her SOOO much today and can't wait 'til she's home again!

Both babies are growing like weeds. It seems like everyday I put another outfit in the "too small" box. (We're saving our clothes for Auntie Latrice's baby boy, and Aunt Sara's future little one.) I'm not sure how much they weigh, but I'm guessing it's somewhere around 11 pounds or so. We have a doctor's appointment next week so we'll get the official verdict then.

Ella has been battling a case of baby acne/eczema on her poor little cheeks, but thanks to Teema's magic cure it's almost completely gone. (You may notice some gook on Ella's face in some of the tubby pictures--that's oatmeal--trust me, it works. That and a little vitamin E.) Other than that we swear she gets prettier and sweeter everyday. She looks just like a little doll. She has a very quiet demeanor and is usually quite content and peaceful. She LOVES to go for walks!

Blake, on the other hand, is our little Curious George. He's always looking and watching everything around him. He takes after his daddy and really enjoys watching TV. This Saturday morning he spent with his dad watching their first episode of College Game Day together. It was a very proud moment. Blake loves his Jumperoo and quite often tires himself out so much that he falls asleep mid-jump! :o) He's got so much personality and we love watching him grow. He does enjoy being held just a little too much, but I'm blaming that one on Great-grandpa Don who just can't seem to put him down.

Both of them are smiling and laughing (Blake a little more than Ella) and they love to be played with and tickled and all that fun stuff. They went to their first sporting event last week and had lots of fun watching the Flushing Boys Varsity Soccer Team and mommy's Freshman Cheer Team. They get plenty of lovin' from the cheerleaders and their parents. I can't wait to take them to their first football game in a couple of weeks! Afterall, we've got to train them early--Ella in cheerleading and Blake in football. Yes, we're dorks and already have their glamorous sports careers planned out.

That's about all I can think of right now. I'll try to get better at posting a little more often, but I'm not making any promises! Enjoy the pictures of our little angels!!

Love,
The Bushey Clan

P.S. A quick "WELCOME HOME" to my friend Melissa who's moving back to Michigan the beginning of September after being in Arizona for a few years. I've missed her and can't wait for her to meet the kiddos! We'll see you soon!
